I went to high school with Jerry and visited with him throughout the years. Many times we would dine in Muncie after he had visited his aunts at Countryside Manor. When we planned to open a beauty salon, Jerry’s thoughts and recommendations were so helpful and very much appreciated. We’ll miss him. I along with my sister, Pippin and another of his school buddies, Keith Wendling who now resides in Los Angeles.

When Jerry and I were young we would play at his grandparents house. They lived a few houses from where I lived. We grew up and became cosmetologist. So I’m remembering having my hair styled, classes, spaghetti dinners with his family in Anderson and in Indianapolis. Jerry passed on my birthday. Feeling grateful for all those memories.

I met Jerry at Midland Antiques Mall where I had a booth for the first time in my life. He frequented Midland and was the grand seigneur of the mall, as he knew antiques and all good things in life. We played in Indy from 1990 on, until he moved to the nursing home, and I moved out of town. He was a character, unforgettable, knew everybody in Indianapolis, and was incredibly fun to be with. He represents an era, now gone with his passing. I will miss you Jerry. I wanted to tell you my good news.
